earlier this summer,
toby took home a tiny caterpillar
from 'weird science camp.'
unfortunately, we neglected to photograph it.
it ate and ate...and grew and grew,
and eventually, it formed a chrysalis.
look what emerged!

now anyone who knows sue
knows how much butterflies creep her out.
nonetheless, even she admits
the transformation from
caterpillar was AMAZING!!
last night, we released the butterfly.
it first flew up to toby's window,
which seemed kinda coincidental,
since it had spent its caterpillar life
almost entirely in his room.
we watched it sail up into the sky,
but unfortunately, sue's video
cut off early.
anyhow, thanks for spending time with us,
