soccer on the sidelines

back in riverside, kids could

play soccer from age four.

 so when toby start playing last fall,

we assured simon he would start 'next year.'

 of course, 'next year' is now this year,

but here in pittsford, only kids in 

kindergarten and up can play.

that means simon is sitting 

on the sidelines yet again as toby practices.

but we dressed him toby's 

lil' kickers uniform and a pair of too-large cleats

and he got some footy action

like his big brother.

father's day PHOTOS

at school, toby made rick two presents:

a pen and a paperweight.

at one of simon's schools,

he made rick a necktie card.

at the other, he made rick 

footprint art.

rick seemed to have a great

father's day with his boys.

there were tickles...

 ...and smiles all around.

this weekend was "positively pittsford." 

 rides and games were free!

 the kids enjoyed the carousel,

choo-choo train, bounce house

and more.

hamming it up to cure childhood cancer

went to a rhinos soccer game last weekend

using tickets won in a

give-away.

while there, for a $2 donation,

the kids got to pose in silly costumes

for a photo shoot.

 the proceeds benefited CURE 

childhood cancer association

 the kids had one minute

to snap as many photos as they could,

with 15 seconds for costume changes.

don't let simon's face fool you,

the kids both had a great time.
