fun in my new snowbib

target was sold out of the solemn black snowbibs,
so there will be no missing ME in the snow.

i love having snowball fights and making snow angels.

but daddy, i need to collect myself! i'm laughing too hard.

mom, are you out to get me?

who am i kidding? this is the best time ever!
(click to see video of backyard sled play.)

christmas day

on christmas day, i met my parents' good friend, howard.
(true to jewish tradition, he came over for chinese food.)

howard and i played with trains...

...and then read about trains.
(now that's my idea of a great visit!)

visit from grandpa

look what grandpa and sandy gave me for hanukkah!
i can already zoom around the basement.

the basement is also where grandpa and i play together.

we build...
...and rebuild.

grandpa's so nice i gave him one of my favorite "cars" stickers.
doesn't it look great on his nose?
(okay, i admit, he looks better without the sticker.)
i love my grandpa and am so glad he came to visit.

o hanukkah, o hanukkah...

...come light the menorah!

second night of hanukkah

tonight, amy and sherry joined dad, mom, nani and me for a hanukkah celebration.
dad cooked delicious treats, including potato latkes, noodle kugel and jelly donuts.
nani gave me an awesome hanukkah present - my first pair of rollerskates!
can you read the excitement in my face?

i can hardly wait to get skating!

dad and mom insist i get padded up.

whoa, this isn't as easy as it looks!

but i quickly get the hang of it.

i don't bother to take off my skates as i spin tops with amy.

that way, i can get right back up and skate more with sherry.

the only way mom and dad convince me to part with my skating gear is by bribing me with the sit-and-spin.
may not be hanukkah-related, but makes for a nice closing photo.

our day downtown

mom, dad and i took the train into the city today.
we had hoped to see santa claus, but i'm not so great at waiting in lines.

but look who we saw instead - the lovely couple from "american gothic"...

...and this friendly lego dinosaur!!!

truth be told, we were actually inside the lego store at the time.

i stood at the lego table playing for an eternity (or so says mom).

the combination of activity and brisk weather tired me out, and i was ready to head back to the train station when the time came.
