the reason for our surprise NYC visit was to attend my cousin lee's bar mitzvah. the first shot shows our table at the reception; the second, my great aunt dina and my mom's first cousins julia and marigo. (any guesses why i'm not wearing any pants?)

while my folks and i were staying with dana, jeff and zoe, we had a few special visitors. both my great aunts, dina and lesley, visited, but we didn't get pictures. dana's granny isabel came down specially to meet me. of course, she didn't mind spending time with her great-granddaughter zoe, either. still, i was really honored that she'd come down to see me. i really enjoyed meeting her (and not just because she brought me a present!).

meet my "fiancee" zoe (no, not the monkey!). she was born 8 days after i was to my mom's almost-sister dana. until this weekend, we hadn't met. we hit it off, though. we make a lovely couple, don't you think?

my birthday present to my great-grandma (first photo) was a surprise visit. when she went to pick my great-aunt up from the airport on friday, my parents and i were standing right behind her. boy, was my great-grandma surprised!
