toby went to 'weird science' camp
earlier this summer.
he was given tadpoles to bring home.
below, they're already 'froglings,'
meaning they'd begun to sprout appendages,
but still had their tails.
(the guy below looks to me
like he's doing push-ups!)
(i swear the guy below is
giving the thumbs up.)
once the majority of the poles
had metamorphosed into frogs,
we invested in a tank and
some rocks for them.
at any given time,
it seemed one inmate was trying
to scale the walls!
until recently, there remained one frogling,
a guy who was just a tad behind
his compadres.
now, however, all the specimens are frogs.
of course, there were 7 originally,
of which only 5 remain.
but those 5 seem,
at least at the time of posting,
as happy as, well, frogs on a log.
(never mind that it's actually a rock!)
