simon's fans have been clamoring for updates, so here are a few videos to keep them happy. we got back china on march 12, which means simon has been home nearly four months. in that time, he got his first prosthesis (end april) and learned to walk upright for the first time ever. he now not only walks, but runs, hops and dances. he also started preschool, just three days a week at first, but for the past couple weeks full-time (5 days, 9am-5pm) just like his big brother. he is doing great at school and literally runs into the classroom every morning, leaving his mom behind without any protestation. in early may, simon turned three, making him nearly 3 years & 2 months old at the time these videos were shot. he has easily a hundred words in his sign vocabulary, most of which are accompanied by some sort of vocal approximation, frequently less discernible than his sign. he LOVES the "Signing Time" series as toby did before him and has recently started getting into "Curious George," too. his favorite nighttime story is "Good Night, Gorilla." anyhow, here are the promised videos. enjoy!
