we planned our cincinnati weekend with a stop in indianapolis on our way home for the brickyard 400 stock car race. it was awesome. it was like being on the set of a live-action “cars” film. it turns out disney-pixar had taught us well…about the trailers that bring the cars, about the teams that change the cars’ tires in the pits, etc. it was super exciting to see it all up close. and WOW, what speed! the cars were averaging 170 MPH. that’s FAST! suffice it to say, we all had a really good time rooting for our favorite car, the M&M car, whose driver kyle busch managed to finish in 10th place (out of the 40 or so cars that raced). (yes, we – well really, toby – chose that car as our favorite solely because it has those cute anthropomorphized M&Ms all over it.)
