had a nice day at legoland...

guide Buddy backstage to his next performance
(which we didn't bother to stick around for)
enjoyed miniland in particular
(we'd been to DC last summer
and will return this spring to film
"Rachel & the TreeSchoolers," so
seeing our nation's capital in bricks
was especially meaningful)
rick tried to make sue jealous
by enacting every man's
princess leia fantasy,
but sue responded by kissing
pre-carbonite han solo on the cheek!
the boys visited with many
"star wars" characters including artoo
we were all amazed by this
life-sized x-wing fighter,
built with over 5 million bricks!
we enjoyed various rides,
including this log ride...
...and this super soaker pirate ride
(boy, did the boys emerge drenched
and shivering from that one!)
we posed with some notables
(laval from the lego "chima" series)
(and, more recognizably,
the caped crusader himself!)
sue really dug albert einstein,
one of the last models we saw
before leaving the park,
satisfied after a very full day
