new friend

dad thought this sticker very apropos.

you know who else was made in china? my new friend rikki! (how's that for a segue?) she's 10 months younger than me but has been in america for over a year already. she's really cute (as if i needed to tell you that!).

here we are engaged in what is obviously very high-level conversation.

my family spent the morning in the city with rikki's family. we took a stroll (literally) to 'museum campus,' where we didn't actually visit any museums but had fun munching at the lunch tables and watching the scavenging gulls. we had a really nice time and look forward to hanging out again.
