these are scenes from this morning’s ‘Waddlers’ class at My Gym. simon has loved it there from day one. he enjoys the permanent fixtures (like the ball pit), and performs the ‘special skills’ (like handstands and trapeze-hanging) with ease.
today, after visiting a preschool around lunchtime (more on that below), we spent the afternoon at home, mostly outside blowing bubbles (or trying – the wand was tiny and difficult).
simon has been home just over four weeks now, and our routine is finally gelling. tuesdays, as you’ve seen, we do My Gym. thursdays, we do Music Together. we think we have found a MWF preschool placement for simon, which will start this week or next. this thursday, a multi-disciplinary team of Early Intervention specialists come to our house to evaluate simon’s development, and friday, simon sees the prosthetist to bring his new leg home. pretty exciting stuff!
