cherry picking at stover's farm

on our way to detroit this weekend, luigi and i picked cherries
at www.stoversupic.com in berrien springs, michigan.
(luigi is my pet monkey for those of you not 'in the know.')they had two kinds of cherry trees - sweet and sour.
we picked sour, which are for baking.
we're thinking of dehydrating ours, though.

hey, look. i got one!

this cherry soon came to inhabit our basket.

at the risk of sounding like chanlder bing (pun intended),
'could i LOOK any happier to have picked this cherry?'

mom and dad kept telling me to put my cherries in our basket,
but i liked how they giggled when i put them in my mouth instead.
daddy, luigi (who probably can't see over my shoulder),
and i look out at stover's expanse of fruit trees.
these happen to have mostly been peaches, i believe.
pretty, huh?
